A genuine Garden of Eden, in places, the Plantation gives into the wildness of the fauna and flora.

Encircled by wild forest

A very special climate dominates the valley. The abundance of spring water and the vibrant canopy that protects the beans foster their growth.

In this completely unique Plantation, extreme care is taken with the trees. In return, the Plantation offers them bean-rich pods at each picking.

The decisive fermentation stage is always carried out in the Plantations

After picking, the cocoa beans are placed in wooden boxes and covered with banana leaves. They stay there for six days, in a shelter that becomes a steam oven. During this period, the aromas trapped in the beans are released and enriched with new nuances.

Roasting, which consists of heating the cocoa beans to extract the paste, highlights these aromas and refines them further. The end result is an exceptional cocoa, with unique and complex flavours.

The CLUIZEL Manufacture tailors the roasting process to the cocoa beans of the La Laguna Plantation.
